The supervisory framework is mandatory for every provisionally registered optometrist and optician who wishes to apply for full registration.
The objective of the supervisory framework is to cultivate further the knowledge and skills of newly graduated optometrists and opticians, and to guide them to apply their knowledge and skills proficiently in an actual working environment.
All provisionally registered optometrists and opticians are required to fulfill the requirements of the supervisory framework before they can be granted eligible for full registration.
As a provisional/temporary/conditional registered practitioner, you must practise under close supervision of a fully registered practitioner.
Temporary/Conditional Registered Practitioners
Please be informed that part of the conditions stipulated under your registration requires you to practise under close supervision of your appointed supervisor. A regular progress assessment shall be conducted by the supervisor using the supervisor's report and to be submitted on a timely manner as required by the Board.

For Provisional Registered Practitioners
Provisionally registered practitioners must under take the Supervisory Framework and fulfill all stipulated conditions and requirements under the framework before they are eligible to apply for full registration.
